Mission Statement

Ending Pet Overpopulation by Desexing the Global Population of Stray Dogs and Cats

Over 700 million stray dogs and cats roam the streets globally, often hungry and sick, with their numbers growing exponentially due to lack of spay and neuter programs to control their population. Their plight, affects the human communities who love them.
The Stray Dog Foundation is working to create better lives for both animal and human communities by:

Meeting Local Needs

We work with local animal welfare workers who have their boots on the ground to understand the obstacles, challenges and needs specific to their population of stray dogs and cats. We offer immediate and long term help in the form of delivery of pharmaceuticals and supplies to veterinary clinics and front-line animal welfare workers in the areas that will best benefit the population of stray dogs and cats.

Fitting Stray Dogs With Reflective Collars

We are purchasing and delivering reflective dog collars to ensure stray dogs are visible at night as they roam the streets in the dark in high traffic communities. These dogs have our heart. With every donation, we are able to purchase more reflective dog collars and insure they are placed on these much deserving strays. Every collar is saving a life. Please donate and help us purchase more collars.

Our Approach

Non-Surgical Desexing of Dogs and Cats

  • Desexing is the only proven, sustainable and humane method of reducing the stray animal population.
  • Traditional spay and neuter programs are not cutting it. Given the shortage of veterinarians across the globe, including the US, managing the exponential growth of populations of stray dogs and cats, with traditional spay and neuter methods has proved to an impossible task.
  • Our approach is different. We are invested in the research and development of a non-surgical sterilization method to spay and neuter the entire population of 700 million plus homeless animals roaming the streets around the globe; forever, ending the cycle of puppies and kittens being born on the streets.
